Area Based Review

In April 2016, more than 25 local businesses and member organisations attended a City Region consultation event to discuss the Area Based Review and the development of a more responsive skills system.  This is one of a number of consultation events across the Liverpool City Region: including an event in February 2016, attended by around 50 representatives from Liverpool City Region colleges, training providers and other stakeholders.

The City Region is due to start its Area Based review in April 2016.  The review will provide an opportunity for institutions, localities and BIS to come up with a plan about how to restructure provision in their area to ensure it is tailored to the changing economic and fiscal context and designed to achieve maximum impact.  This is a key part of implementing the devolution deal that the City Region agreed with Government in November 2015.

In February 2016, around 50 representatives from Liverpool City Region colleges, training providers and other stakeholders attended a recent City Region consultation event to discuss the Area Based Review.
