In November 2015, the Liverpool City Region finalised its historic Devolution Agreement with Government, securing additional powers and funding to deliver local priorities. The Liverpool City Region is continuing to implement the Devolution Agreement, including:
- Chairing an Area Based Review of 16+ skills provision to ensure it responds to the needs of the local economy;
- Commissioning of devolved adult skills funding from 2018/19;
- Working with Government to co-design employment support to tackle health-related worklessness; and
- Developing an innovative, household-based approach to support those who are hardest to help.
